Heavily gilded French bronze chandelier, with a putto-figured stem and multiple, voluted arms forming the upper part. The sculptural lower composition and the finely chiseled candle holders are characteristic of the historicizing, Rococo-inspired decorative bronze industry of the second half of the 19th century. The proportional structure and detailed craftsmanship suggest that it is a piece made primarily for representative interiors.
