Detailed description
The presented object is a richly decorated, Baroque–Rococo-style wall-mounted pendulum clock, housed in a curved, veneered wooden case, featuring extensive gilded bronze ornamentation. The enameled dial is made with blue Roman numerals, with a finely chased brass clock face in the center, while the decorative pendulum and grille ornamentation can be seen through the lower opening. Based on its style and structural characteristics, it can be dated to the late 18th century to the early 19th century, a representative wall clock type intended for a bourgeois or noble interior with French influence.
