Christmas auction with mulled wine, roasted chestnuts – and extraordinary artworks

The holiday season at the Földváry Castle and thus in the Auction House's life has always been special. The intimacy, the festive lights, and the warmth of a peaceful home somehow provide the perfect backdrop for the unique excitement that only the finale of an art auction can offer.

Although until now we have mainly held hybrid auctions, the last event exceptionally took place exclusively online – and with such success that reinforced our belief that a real community can also be built in the online space. More than 16,000 clicks!

This realization inspired us to create an auction specifically suited for the Christmas atmosphere as the holidays approach:

where anyone can bid in our castle dressed in Christmas decorations on-site while enjoying mulled wine and roasted chestnuts, or comfortably from their armchair at home, by the light of the fireplace or the sparkle of the Christmas tree.

Only 10% auction commission – a gift for collectors

At this year's Christmas auction, we are preparing with a special gesture:

we have reduced the auction commission to 10%.
