Among the painters named "Szántó", Lukács Szántó and Piroska Szántó are the best known. Lukács Szántó is a contemporary Hungarian painter whose works mainly include landscapes and still lifes. Akvarius Galéria offers a number of his paintings.

Piroska Szántó (1913–1998) was a Kossuth Prize-winning Hungarian painter and graphic artist, known for her pastel paintings and illustrations.

Although neither of them is specifically famous for their paintings depicting roosters, it is possible that one of them created works on such a theme. However, there is currently no concrete information that either of them regularly painted roosters.
