The case is made in the Tètes du poupeé style, with side marquetry panels; the molded ormolu dial features separate white enamel Roman chapters, with an enamel plaque inscribed L'Emeraude/ Place St. Francois / Lausanne, an eight-day twin tube movement with gong strike, and on the back, a Vincenti stamp from 1855.
