Delicate, baroque atmosphere, religious scene: at the center of the image, a Franciscan monk (Saint Anthony) holds the infant Jesus in his arms, surrounded by cherubs and angels. In the background, a soft landscape detail, an olive grove and a dusky sky. The colors are soft pastel tones – shades of rose, gold, light blue, ochre, and leaf green – which create a harmonious, "rosary-image" atmosphere. The technique is silky: the pastel has been smoothed onto a paper-like texture, the contours of the figures are slightly blurred, and the light source comes from a heavenly direction. Formally, the scene follows the tradition of 18th to 19th-century Italian and French religious miniatures, emphasized by a circular, convex gilded frame.
