At the center of the composition, a forest path winds between two wooden houses, with gigantic mountains and fluffy clouds rising in the background. In the foreground, a woman in a red coat walking provides a human scale to the monumental nature. The painter works with delicate color transitions and spaciousness, using precise application of aerial perspective. Although the signature is in the form of a monogram, the identity of the creator remains unknown; their style shows the influence of Tyrolean-Hungarian romantic landscape painting. The work has an intimate yet epic atmosphere, has been well preserved, and can be categorized among the decorative landscapes of the turn of the century.
