Detailed description
Zsolt Malasits was born in 1961 in Hungary, in Győr. He is a painter living and working here. He pursued his fine arts studies in Finland from 1989 to 1993. Since 1984, he has been creating artworks of artistic quality. His applied techniques include ceramic, stone, and bronze sculptures, as well as paintings made with oil on handmade paper and acrylic and oil on canvas. In 1998, he opened the Malasits Gallery in the historical downtown of Győr, where he continues to create to this day. His main goal is to search for and find the "ESSENCE". Numerous solo and group exhibitions, cultural programs organized by him, and charitable events and donations are associated with his name. He enhances the reputation of Győr city at several international art festivals held abroad. He has won awards at exhibitions in Italy and twice in France, and he received the St. Ladislaus Medal from the city of Győr. In 2021, on the occasion of Győr's 750th anniversary, the city administration commissioned a large painting (185 x 700 cm) to be displayed in the Mayor's Meeting Room of the Town Hall.
In 2023, he is invited to hold an exhibition at the Liszt Hungarian Cultural Institute in Helsinki. He has had exhibitions in almost every European country outside of his homeland. www.malasitsfestmény.hu
