Detailed description
Presentation of Rubint Ávrahám Péter, the Artist
Rubint Ávrahám Péter (1975, Budapest) is a key figure in contemporary Hungarian visual arts. He began his career at the painting faculty of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, where his passion for light and spatial experiments developed. His works center on the dialogue between visual memory and natural structures.
His style combines classic oil painting with modern multimedia techniques. His installations often build on projected lights and shadows, while his paintings feature textural solutions in delicate layers. Through this duality, the artist explores the limits of reality and perception.
Notable works include the ‘Light Change’ (2010) installation, where he depicts the alternation of the daily cycle with dynamic LED series. In the ‘Natural Structures’ series (2013–2016), his paintings show parallels between microscopic cell patterns and landscape forms. The video installation ‘Reflectance’ (2018) generates projected light through the movement of the audience.
Péter's works have been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions from Paris to New York. His important awards include the Munkácsy Award (2015) and the Bartók–Pásztory Award (2019). The active involvement of the audience in his exhibitions makes the professional recognition memorable.
His artistic creed states that the fundamental role of art is to make the invisible visible. In his upcoming projects, the focus will be on the application of augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence. Thus, Ávrahám Péter's work bridges traditional techniques and digital innovation.
