Introduction
Péter Ávrahám Rubint is a contemporary Hungarian artist whose rich and diverse creative world spans from traditional painting to new media and interactive installations. His art is characterized by a reinterpretation of human perception and space, while also addressing social and ecological issues.
Artistic Career
He was born in 1985 in Budapest, where he graduated from the painting department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. His debut was marked by exhibitions held in independent galleries and experimental workshops. Since 2015, he has been a recurrent guest in the accompanying programs of the Venice Biennale, and in 2018 he won the special award from the National Cultural Fund, as well as working in several international art residencies.
Main Works
In 2020, his installation titled Interaction modulates the viewers' movements through real-time video projections, allowing the audience to become a part of the creation. The Sublimation series from 2022 unfolds a fusion of painting and digital animation. His latest project, the Soundflow multimedia spatial installation, transforms sound waves into visual structures. He has also created artistic book objects, such as The Album of Spatial Sounds, which contains hidden audio tracks within its pages.
Style and Methodology
At the core of Péter's works lies the interaction between technology and human experience. His experimental spirit incorporates both physical materials and digital tools, reflecting on global challenges. His works often engage multiple senses, encouraging the audience to actively experience their own realities. Additionally, he regularly gives lectures and workshops to support young artists.
