Detailed description

Introduction of Rubint Ávrahám Péter, the artist

Rubint Ávrahám Péter is a contemporary Hungarian visual artist whose work straddles the borders of painting, video art, and spatial installations. He was born in 1980 in Budapest, where he graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. His sensitivity to the relationship between light and material was already evident in his early creations.

In his creative methods, he often uses layered canvases, on which he creates dynamic surfaces with acrylics, oils, and various experimental media. On these surfaces, colors and shapes open into one another, much like the experiences of the inner and outer world. Among his most well-known paintings are "Wind Gate" and "Light Wave," in which the transparency of the layers makes the visual experience float.

In his video installations, Rubint Péter examines the dimensions of movement and time. In the series titled "Water Currents," he projects reflections of water surfaces onto different planes, thus creating parallel realities. These works invite the viewer not only to observe but also to participate in an interactive experience: through our movement, we also shape the artwork.

Rubint Ávrahám Péter's exhibitions regularly appear both at home (Műcsarnok, Ludwig Museum) and abroad (Berlin Contemporary Gallery, Venice Biennale Off-program). His work has been recognized with several awards, including the Hungarian Art Award and the Navigator Scholarship.

His art reflects on contemporary social and natural processes, encouraging the audience to ponder the relationship between perception and reality through visual experiences.
