22.5 × 31.5 cm, oil, cardboard, marked with initials j.j.l. and dated "1895". – The small-sized genre painting depicts an idyllic rural scene: in the garden of a white-walled, red-roofed house, flowers are blooming, and in the foreground, a young girl is herding geese to the stream. The colors are vivid, the painting style is illustrative and decorative, evoking the folk-romantic genre culture of the late 19th century. In the bottom right corner, there is a faint signature, reminiscent of "Rudnay", accompanied by the date 1895. However, the identification as an early work of Gyula Rudnay is highly questionable, as the creator was still at the beginning of his career at that time, and his style developed the well-known character later on.
