The composition may already be familiar from previous pages of the catalog: the same dual form, powerful diagonal structure appears that characterizes one of Antonin Mercié's most popular thematic variants. The relationship between the ascending winged figure and the bearing male figure is also based here on the precise balance of movement and weight, with consistent anatomical modeling and a clearly readable structure.
