Detailed description
Richly gilded French bronze mantel clock, with putto figures as side elements and an urn-shaped central casing, from the workshop of Charles Dupont. The symmetrical composition, the finely molded figures, and the classicizing–neobaroque ornamentation are characteristic of the Parisian decorative clocks from the second half of the 19th century. The enameled dial and the high-quality bronze casting elevate it to a representative, collectible interior object.
