Detailed description
Patinated bronze allegorical statue with winged male figures, which appears in a dynamic composition representing the triumph of progress and human knowledge. Émile Louis Picault is the creator, who was one of the most renowned French academic sculptors of the late 19th century. The distinctly modeled musculature, the dynamic movement, and the rich surface detailing are characteristic of the representative, symbolic sculpture of the era. Made with a marble base, this is an emblematic work intended for interior spaces.
