"I started the painting more than twenty years ago, but it didn’t really come together back then, so I set it aside. When I picked it up again in early August, a lady sunbathing right there resembled the woman in the picture perfectly, fitting wonderfully into the previous figure, and so I easily painted the colors over it. The picture came together, I finished it."
