Detailed description

The monumental, 120 cm tall bronze statue captures the celebratory movement of a young ballerina, with outstretched arms and an upward gaze. The piece delicately balances the powerful momentum of the movement with the dancer's fragile grace. The meticulous detailing – the flowing hem of the dress, the shaping of the slender body, the expressiveness of the mimicry – evokes the art deco-inspired works of great masters like Demétre Chiparus or Ferdinand Preiss. The warm brown and greenish shades applied during the patination harmoniously highlight the contrast between the body and the dress, while the massive green marble base provides a secure foundation for the dynamic composition. Although the identity of the creator remains unknown, the size of the statue and the quality of its craftsmanship clearly indicate that it was made in a professional foundry. The work combines the elevation of classical ballet with modern decorativeness, thus creating a special effect in an interior architectural space, in a representative environment.
