Charles Raphaël Peyre (1872–1949)

Charles Peyre bronze sculpture titled Three Putti is closely related to the earlier putto compositions bearing seasonal allegories. Here, too, the motifs of carefreeness, play, and fertility come to the forefront, with floral wreaths and light postures. The emphasis is not on the individual figures, but on the circular relationship that develops between them. The work is one variation of the putto themes that evoke summer, with a unified decorative approach.
