Detailed description

Lidded porcelain urn pair, with an extraordinarily rich plastic decoration inspired by the Rococo style on its entire surface. On the belly, in a circle amidst garlands of flowers and fruits, hand-painted fêtes galantes scenes can be seen: couples lingering in a park, musicians and dancing figures in 18th-century court attire. Seated putti are depicted on both sides of the body, with an openwork, volute shoulder and lid, topped by a female figure holding a floral basket (Allegory of Flora). The color palette is pastel (pinks, greens, purples, yellows), with fine golden contours and border decorations. The pedestal stands on rocaille legs, with small cartouches featuring additional pastoral scenes.
