Detailed description

French bronze clock–candelabra set, featuring a figurative sculpture group in the center, flanked by candelabras, in a harmonious and balanced composition. According to the signature readable on the lower part, the work is by Étienne-Maurice Dumaige, who was one of the sought-after sculptors in Paris in the second half of the 19th century. The delicate emotional connection of the figures, the natural postures, and the carefully crafted drapery carry the characteristic stylistic features of the master. The contrast between the patinated bronze figures and the gilded base provides outstanding decorative and collectible value to the ensemble.
