The female figure appears in a leading position, her gesture is decisive, while the lower figure is connected to the composition by the flow of movement. The modeling is academic, the anatomy is clear, and the drapery and surfaces are evenly crafted. The handling of the composition and the relationship between the figures is characteristic of the Moreau salon sculpture approach.
