Mathurin Moreau (1822-1912)

Bronze composition of a winged shape and female figure, with a strongly vertical structure. The movement is determined by the relationship of the bodies to each other, not an independent action. The anatomy is idealized, the surfaces are evenly worked out, without pronounced contrasts. Clearly recognizable as a Moreau-type, one variation from the workshop's series of angelic figures.
