Detailed description

Monumental, nearly one meter high, hard porcelain decorative vase with a lid, densely applied, hand-shaped flower garlands and encircling gilding. The baluster body has a ribbed, gold-striped belly at the bottom, higher up a wide-mouthed shoulder, adorned with blue and white gold-trimmed volutes. On the shoulder, an oval white profile-relief medallion is set in a blue field, featuring two flying putti, while large allegorical winged figures cling to the rim from the back and sides. The lid is constructed in the shape of a crown, with small putti and cartouches. The color palette is pastel: pale green glaze, sky blue stripes, pink and purple flowers, abundant gold highlights; the brushwork is delicate, with detailed porcelain painterly finishing.
