The light comes from the top left, showing hard reflections on the vase and a dull highlight on the tabletop. The palette uses warm ochres, reds, and olive greens, with the creamy impasto of the white flowers providing a strong contrast. At the bottom left, there is an uncertain signature: Erdy or Érdy. The painterly solutions tie to the mid-20th century post-impressionist-naturalist still life tradition, akin to the decorative, late variation of the Nagybánya heritage.
