Francia óramműves

A large cartel clock of French origin, featuring an intricately drawn ornamentation in gold on a dark background, reflecting the influence of the Boulle technique, complemented by rich gilded bronze applications. Its enamelled dial is made with black Roman numerals, a chiselled bronze field in the center, and a bas-relief figurative scene at the bottom. Based on its material use, detailing, and structural system, it can be interpreted as a historicist, representative mantel clock made in the second half of the 19th century.
