Detailed description

The company Denière, founded in 1804, produced the highest quality bronzes during the 19th century for esteemed clients such as Prince Orange, the Duke of Orléans, Grand Duke Alexandre, and the Viceroy of Egypt. In 1844, Guillaume Denière inherited the company from his father. In the following decades, Guillaume followed in his father's footsteps, winning numerous awards for his work and his role as president of the Réunion des Fabricants, and ultimately received the Légion d'Honneur award just before the International Exhibition in London in 1862.
