Detailed description

French mantel clock, richly crafted, with a sculptural composition featuring a young female figure holding a fruit basket, with the inscription "LES CERISES – par Cane" on the base. The figure is made of finely chiseled, bronze-like metal casting, while the clock face is divided with a red-toned, marble imitation covering and gilded bronze decorations. Based on its style, iconography, and material use, it can be dated to the second half of the 19th century, a narrative-type, representative French decorative clock.
