Detailed description
French bronze mantel clock, richly modeled, with a classicizing–neobaroque composition, putto and allegorical figures, and an urn-like upper section, with the inscription Polii Frères on the dial. The white enameled dial is surrounded by a gilded bronze bezel, while the entire case is made of finely chiseled, dark patinated bronze, with partially gilded accents. Based on its style, execution, and workshop mark, it can be dated to the second half of the 19th century, a representative, sculpturally demanding work of art.
